What is the difference between Tent City and Camping Area sites?
Tent City is an area where we provide tents on platforms, while guests who stay in the Camping Area need to bring their own tents. Both areas offer flushed toilets and showers for guests to use.
What is the weather like?
At 7,800 feet in elevation, daytime temperatures at the ranch typically range from 70–85°F during peak summer (late June and July), with cooler evenings. Early June can be significantly cooler, especially in the mornings and at night. Sunscreen is strongly recommended, and a warm jacket is advised for evening and early morning hours throughout the season.
What is Orientation?
Orientation is a brief welcome where our staff gathers the group to review Ranch venues and activities and answer any questions. During orientation, each guest will receive an official wristband once their Release of Liability waiver, completed prior to arrival, has been confirmed.
Can I put up decorations in the lodging area I am staying in, and are there any rules about crafting inside?
Yes. Guests are welcome to decorate their lodging area. When hanging decorations, only blue painter’s tape may be used to avoid damage to ranch property.
Crafting is also welcome; however, any activities involving glue, irons, or other heat-producing tools must be done outdoors. All decorations and craft materials must be removed at the end of your stay, and guests are responsible for any damage.
Is there a refrigerator or microwave available in the lodging areas?
Yes, in both the Red Creek and Tabby Mountain lodges. The Red Creek Lodge also has a full freezer.

Male leaders will be housed in our Guesthouse, which includes two separate rooms—one accommodating up to four guests and the other up to six. Male leaders from different groups may share a room. As an alternative, male leaders may choose to bring a tent and camp in our designated camping area.
Are pets allowed at the Ranch?
